Perth Trip
You will have 21 days to drive from Broome to Perth. You’ll get to travel both down the coast and inland. There are many beautiful beaches with stunning turquoise waters – perfect for swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, and other water activities. On this trip, you will see dolphins from the beach in Monkey Mia, chase waterfalls and explore gorges in Karijini, see a pink lake, and hike to Natures Window in Kalbarri. However, the real highlight is the Ningaloo Reef which you will find off the coast of Exmouth. It rivals the Great Barrier Reef, but you don’t need a boat, just jump in from the beach for some world-class snorkelling.
Expect to get fit with lots of hiking, snorkelling and exercise as you appreciate the natural sights. This is a no-frills adventure – you’ll be setting up your own tents, cooking your own dinner and sharing your tent with one or two other people. The target age group is 18-35.

our recommended itinerary
Broome to 80 Mile Beach
Get on the bus with your new friends! Head over to a supermarket and do a big food shop together to prepare for the trip.
The first day starts with a drive to the incredible 80 Mile Beach. It is a very long beach but may not be safe to swim at because of crocodiles and sharks! However, It is famous for shell-collecting and fishing.
Enjoy a drink, cook a communal dinner and get to know your trip buddies.
Marble Bar
Marble Bar is famous for being the hottest town in Australia. But don’t worry too much, it won’t be crazy hot yet.
When you drive here you get to see some real red Australia – make sure you stop at the pub for a beer. Fortunately, there are a lot of gorges and waterholes around. Visit these, you can also camp at some gorges.
Marble Bar/Port Hedland
Spend the morning checking out some gorges in the Marble Bar area, before heading to Port Hedland.
Here you can visit the beach and buy any supplies you need before heading to Karijini.
Karijini
Drive from Port Hedland to Karijini. It’s a long drive to Karijini, but once you are there you should set up a camp for a few nights.
There’s a lot to see. There are falls, swimming holes, hikes and incredible gorges. If you stop at a tourist information centre on the way you’ll be able to get some maps.
We can recommend Mount Bruce, Dales Gorge and Fortescue Falls but there are more beautiful sights to see – which are included in our guidebook!
Karijini to Exmouth
Spend the morning hours in Karijini National Park before beginning the long drive to Exmouth.
We recommend setting up camp in a working station or a free camp before reaching Exmouth to chill out, and completing the last couple hours drive to Exmouth the following morning.
Exmouth and Cape Range National Park
Cruise into Exmouth and check out the town and stock up on supplies and water.
Then enjoy your time in Cape Range National Park! It is an amazing place; camp here if you can! There is world-class snorkelling at oyster stacks.
Or you can visit one of the most beautiful beaches in existence – Turquoise Bay. There is also some nice hiking available at Yardie Creek and Charles Knife Canyon. You can also organise a tour to swim with the whale sharks or go diving.
Coral Bay
Spend the morning enjoying the beaches and snorkelling of Cape Range before heading south to Coral Bay.
Coral Bay is a special place! It’s a small town with a beautiful beach. The most special part is that you can snorkel the Ningaloo Reef right off the coast! Stay here for a couple of nights.
